REMINDER OF OUR NEXT LAFD CHAPTER’S GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING 1/28/23 NEW LOCATION

LAFD Fire Hogs,
We have scheduled an IN-PERSON GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING, THAT IS CORRECT, AN IN-PERSON MEETING on JAN 28, 2023.   Bartels’ Harley Davidson has graciously donated their conference room to allow us to meet in person again!  We will also be simulcasting via zoom for those who live too far away.   I am hoping for a great turnout so we can continue these in person meetings moving forward.
General Membership meeting will start at 1000 hrs and last till noon. The address to the Bartels’ HD is 4141 Lincoln Blvd. Marina Del Rey, CA.  The conference room is above the show room.  WE WILL GO FOR LUNCH AND BEVERAGES AFTERWARDS!
North End meeting location will be FS 88 with KSU at 0915 Hrs.  Attached is the agenda.

Come join us once again as we start the Riding Season of 2023!

The LACoFD Chapter of the Fire Hogs M/C is sponsoring the 5-County Ride (This year known as the 5-Brewery ride) on March 25, 2023.

 0900hrs meet at “The Local Pub & Grill” ( 26876 The Old Road, Valencia, Ca)

1000hrs  KSU.  Travel with us as we head along the scenic Hiway 154 to Maverick’s Saloon (3687 Sagunto Street, Santa Ynez, Ca) for lunch.  Then it’s on to Mountain Figueroa Brewery (2363 Alamo Pintado Ave, Los Olivos, Ca). Next it’s along the PCH to Island Brewery Company (5049 Sixth Street, Carpinteria, CA), After we have a few and watch the trains go by we are on to Barrel House 101 (545 E. Thompson Blvd, Ventura CA.) for the raffle and an afternoon snack.  For those strong enough to stay, That night Jack will lead us on his famous “Bar Crawl” in Downtown Ventura starting at approx. 5:30 pm for dinner.

Stay the night in Ventura at the Holiday Inn or ?.

Next morning Bloody Mary Bar Hosted by Jack & Wendy followed by Bennie leading us to his favorite place in Ventura (Taqueria Tepatitlan, 362 N. Ventura Ave, Ventura Ca.) for Menudo and/or other Mexican breakfast delights.

THE LACoFD CHAPTER OF THE FIRE HOGS PRESENTS THE 7TH ANNUAL FIREFIGHTER MEMORIAL RIDE ON MAY 20, 2023.

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the LACoFD Fire Hogs M/C will be sponsoring the 7th Annual Fire Fighters Memorial Ride Memorial Run to raise money for the Los Angeles County Firefighters, Widows, and Orphans Fund. Come join us once again as we start at the Los Angeles Country Fire Station 126 (26320 Citrus St, Valencia, CA 91355.), travel to Route 66 Classic Grill ( 18730 soledad canyon Road, Valencia CA.) along a scenic 2-3 hour ride in the mountains.  Registration starts at 0800 hrs, ceremonies start at 0900 hrs with KSU at 1030 hrs. The ride includes lunch at Route 66 Classic Grill.  Stay for music/ luncheon and fund raising to benefit the LACoFD Widows, and Orphans, Fund. All are welcome! If ya can’t make the ride meet us at Route 66  for the luncheon, fundraising, and Music! Be there at 1200 to watch the riders come in!!

On Saturday, June 10, 2023, the LAFD Fire Hogs M/C will be sponsoring the 25th Annual Fallen Heroes Memorial Run to raise money for the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association, Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firemen’s Fund. Come join us once again as we start at THE LOS ANGELES FIRE DEPARTMENT MUSEUM (1355 N. Cahuenga Blvd, Hollywood, CA.), travel to Mulholland Harley Davidson in Calabasas and end up at the Sagebrush Cantina. Registration starts at 0800 hrs, ceremonies start at 0900 hrs with KSU at 1000 hrs. Travel with us as we go down Sunset Blvd as the four Fire Stations we pass provide a presentation, ride to PCH and along the coast and back inland to Mulholland Harley Davidson (24050 Ventura Blvd, Calabasas, CA 91302) for a stop, then on to our final destination of the Sage Brush Cantina (23527 Calabasas rd., Calabasas) for music/ luncheon and fund raising to benefit the Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firemen’s Fund. All are welcome! If ya can’t make the ride meet us at the Sagebrush for the luncheon, fundraising, and Music! Be there at 1230 to watch the riders come in!!     • San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  Participation in the parade is for patched members and prospects only.  Watching the parade is open to all.
    • After the parade party in the Beer Gardens is open to all. 
    • After the beer garden party at Queenstown Public House.  Tom Overstreet will be singing his world famous rendition of Danny Boy.
    • Night Bar Crawl -open to all
  • Sunday:
    • Breakfast, goodbye’s and head home.
  • Monday:
    • Some are leaving Monday, Breakfast, goodbye’s and head home.

Wreaths Across America

Los Angeles National Cemetery
You do not need to register. The Fire Hogs, including family and friends, Will be assisting with the laying of Wreaths at the National Cemetery. The Fire Hogs are already registered as a Volunteer Group. If you wish, you can go to the website and sponsor a veteran with a wreath.

We will stage at LAFD station 37, 1090 Veteran Ave, Westwood 90024
Parking is at the rear of the station and is accessed by taking Kinross avenue off Veteran, and turning left at the alley behind the station
