Hope for Firefighters

Join the Fire Hogs on June 6 as we cook and serve up our world-famous street tacos to the businesses in downtown Los Angeles.  Our booth will once again be at the south end of the festivities on S. Hope Street by W. 4th street across for the band.  Try to be there by 0800 hrs to help us prepare for the feast!  No vehicles allowed on S Hope from 10 am to 1430 hrs, Parking is limited, but bikes shouldn’t be a problem.   We serve from 1130-1430 hrs.  Proceeds go to the LAFRA’s Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Firefighters Fund. Ride starts 8:30 am at Gem City Grill owned by a Pasadena Firefighter and his wife. They will open early for us so we can have a great start to our ride. Gem City Grill, 115 E. Olive Ave. Monrovia, CA 91016

Kick Stands up 9:30 am and ride Azusa Canyon to Crystal Lake then back to Mt. Lowe Brewery for the launch of 2023 Fire Hogs Tailboard Ale and Pete Goff Memorial Biker Games.

RIDE TO THE FLAGS

Those not going to the car show, the Ride to the Flags is also on 9/10/23. Staging at Naval Base Ventura County – Pt. Mugu Check-in / Registration 0730 – 0900 at Missile Park (Wood Rd. Exit).  Naval Base Ceremony at 1000 including a flyover, rifle salute, and wreath laying. KSU around 1100 and PCH to Malibu Bluffs Park.  Food trucks, raffles and entertainment at Bluffs Park until 3pm.

LAFD CAR SHOW

LAFD Car Show September 10, 2023 The Fire Hogs have been invited from 10 – 3 pm at FHMTC.   NE will be meeting at FS 88 with KSU at 0900 hrs .  We will meet up with the other riders at Franks Place .

CA Firefighter Memorial Sacramento

October 11-15 California Fire Fighters Memorial in Sacramento. Itinerary:

Wednesday 10-11-23. Ride to Ventura ca.  Stay at Comfort Inn and Suites in Ventura 2094 E. Harbor Blvd for aprox $140 a Night with gov discount.     BBQ at Jacks house at 5ish pm.  Please contact Jack to RSVP for the BBQ at 805 490-8169

Thursday 10-12-23.  Breakfast at Mrs Olsen coffee hut @0800 2800-A Harbor Blvd Oxnard   We will leave from there after breakfast at approximately 9 o’clock.  Heading to Cambria possibly stopping on the way at a couple wineries. We will be staying in Cambria at the Sea Otter Inn.  For reservations their phone number is 805-927-5888.  Ask for a AAA discount.

Saturday 10/14/23 going on a morning ride to Poor Reds BBQ in El Dorado for late breakfast then back to Sacramento for the Memorial services which start at  3 pm

Sunday 10/15/23 we will be leaving. Still open to suggestions for the ride home

Anyone that can’t make it to Sacramento for the weekend, join us on Wednesday for the BBQ and/or join us for breakfast on the morning of 10/12/23 at Mrs Olsen and/or ride with us or meet us in Cambria.

The morning of 10-11-23, Dont forget about the Flag Ceremonies for LACoFD Fire Captain  Lee Brown ,Father of LAFD Captain Jeff Brown.  The LACoFD  s going to be having a flag ceremony in his honor of his father for his years of service with the LACoFD at FS 71 in Malibu on 10-11-23 at 1000 hrs and has invited the Fire Hogs to be a part of this ceremony.  We will be meeting on 10-11-23 at the Jack in Box at 101 freeway x Kanan road, Agoura, Ca with KSU at 0915 hrs.  Services should not last long and we will make a nice little ride afterwards having lunch at Neptune’s Net and then on to the rock store.  Light force 69 will be there as well. Unless I’m out at afire, Jack and Wendy will be having a BBQ that night at 530 pm for those going to Sacramento the next day RSVP to jack for the BBQ.   I hope to see LACoFD and LAFD Chapters there as well as the rest of the Chapter’s.  Should be a great day and good start to the weekend for a ride.
