I wanted to pass this on about the upcoming Colorado Springs Memorial:

We have a contingency of Fire Hogs heading to Colorado.  If you are thinking of going, BOOK YOUR ROOMS NOW! We will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn-Airport. Call 719 622-0300 and ask for the IAFF rate of $178 a night.  If you go online, it shows the hotel as sold out so call and ask for the IAFF rooms.  We will be joining the IAFF riders on the 15th for a day ride and then again for the ceremonies on the 16th.  The Fire Hogs will be leaving for CO on the morning of the 9/12 from Victorville HD at 0800 hrs. first stop will be Beaver Utah 410 miles, next stop is Gunnison CO 411 miles, then on the 14th it is a 200-mile ride going through the Monarch Pass into Colorado springs.  We will leave on the morning of the 17th stopping at Beaver Utah- 592 miles on the 17th and then home 410+ miles.  There are lots of available hotels in Beaver and Gunnison.   Fire Hog Coordinators include SDFD Mike Merriken (928 515-4219), SDFD Dave Allen (619 920-4811), and LAFD Darin Evans(951 440-3355). Once again, we will be having fun along the Parade tossing out toys to the children.

Please be at Mel’s Dinner (1660 N Highland Ave, Los Angeles) by 1500 hrs so that we can go over important information as well as the decorating of the bikes. Of course we will take several pictures.

After the parade we will head over to Saddle Ranch Chop House 8371 Sunset Blvd. W. Hollywood

IAFF RALLY in Prescott AZ & 10th Anniversary of the  Granite Mountain 19

FIRE HOG & FRIENDS RIDE TO THE IAFF RALLY in Prescott AZ.  For the 10th Anniversary of the  Granite Mountain 19. It is also the WORLD’s oldest Rodeo  that week in Prescott as well.     Ceremonies for the Hotshots should be on the 30th, Plan on going to the National Rodeo on Saturday July 1st at 730 pm show.  Some have the following seats: upper H, Row 12, seats 15-20 730 pm.  https://worldsoldestrodeo.com.  We will be in Prescott from  6/28 – 7/2/2023.  The Fire Hogs have a group rate at the Springfield Suites in Prescott which will be good until May 20th.  After which you will have to pay the big Bucks.  Contact Teresa at 928-776-0998 and ask for the group rate.

Bullhead River Run/Music Fest

Bullhead River Run/Music Festival is on!

Join the Fire Hogs as we travel to the Bullhead River Run on Thursday 4/27/23.  We will be meeting at Victorville Harley Davidson Thursday with KSU @0900 hrs.   Many are staying at the Aquarius Hotel.  Friday we are organizing a ride to Kingman Az and along the way pay tribute to Fire Hog Danny Cypert whose Memorial is along the way.  We will organize a meet and great on Thursday or Friday location TBD.  Saturday we will be supporting a Veterans ride.  Sunday ride home.

Its going to be GREAT weather  for riding.

LAFD Fire Hogs,
We have scheduled an IN-PERSON GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING, THAT IS CORRECT, AN IN-PERSON MEETING on JAN 28, 2023.   Bartels’ Harley Davidson has graciously donated their conference room to allow us to meet in person again!  We will also be simulcasting via zoom for those who live too far away.   I am hoping for a great turnout so we can continue these in person meetings moving forward.
General Membership meeting will start at 1000 hrs and last till noon. The address to the Bartels’ HD is 4141 Lincoln Blvd. Marina Del Rey, CA.  The conference room is above the show room.  WE WILL GO FOR LUNCH AND BEVERAGES AFTERWARDS!
North End meeting location will be FS 88 with KSU at 0915 Hrs.  Attached is the agenda.
